SOLAR POWER PLANTS

A solar power plant generates electricity by converting solar energy into electrical energy. Here is how it happens. The main components in a solar power plant can be found here.

Different types of solar power plants are:

  • Off Grid Solar Power Plant:
  • off

In an off-grid solar power plant, the modules generate the Direct Current and this current is used to charge the batteries. An inverter converts this DC into AC, which is then used for the loads. On Grid Solar Power Plant:

  • On Grid Solar Power Plant:on

In a grid tied solar power system, the modules generate the Direct Current, which is converted to AC via an inverter. This AC is then fed to the transmission lines.

  • Hybrid Solar Power Plant:hybrid

In a hybrid solar power plant, the modules charge the batteries as well as feed the electricity to the grid. In this power plant, a hybrid inverter is used.
